View the sites we have designed, both Joomla and static websites.
The following are links to sites we have designed. Please view more about our web design packages here.
A screenshot from the current Vertical Endeavour website. The vision had grown to become more inclusionary of the community which had evolved, and provide them with space for images and blogging on top of the ever popular Berg forum, existing gallery and download section.
This is a screenshot of the Joomla 1.0.x iteration of Vertical Endeavour. The vision of the site was to create an online Drakensberg Forum, and to have a community derived site surrounding mountains and activities related to that. Joomla allowed for the community aspect, as well as the forum and gallery components, also required in the vision. This is a screenshot from the earliest iteration of Vertical Endeavour. This site was static and based on html. It allowed for no interactivity, and the vision for the site quickly outgrew the limitations of a static site. IEAS was an Environmental consultancy which never really took off. CID currently use this as a test server for clients, but the old site is still hosted here. It was based on Joomla 1.0.x architecture
Screenshot of Saskia's Art Pages Website. The client required a gallery of her art works. The site is based on html static architecture. The site can be viewed here. The site will not be be static for much longer as it will soon be replaced with a full e-commerce enabled content management system which will allow for potential clients to purchase artwork online.
This is a screenshot of the Balanced Environment Consultancy website, completed early in 2009. It is based on Joomla 1.0.x architecture. The site also features a comment section as well as downloads for the consultancy to facilitate public participation in their projects. You can view the site here.
IFPRI/UKZN Food security Conference file repository
This is a screenshot of the CAADP website, required for a listing of CVs for specialists in the food security sector for NEPAD. It was required for a short period of time, and has recently been taken off the web as it was no longer required. It was based on Joomla 1.0.x and required a community plugin where users could upload their cvs and details in a specific format, a download section and a web calendar for events.
Sustainable Development Projects Website screenshot for Sustainable Development Projects cc. The client required a web presence in order to facilitate public participation for their EIA projects, as well as a downloads section, and comment ability. It is based on Joomla 1.0.x architecture.
A screenshot from the Ukupha Consulting website. The client required a Job board where they could post job adverts, and prospective job seekers could apply as well as submit their CVs for keeping on file. They also required a list of their various training courses. This was accomplished on the Joomla 1.5.x platform using a specific extension for job adverts and placements. The site can be viewed here.
This is a screenshot of the Midlands Pole Centre Website. It is a static website, based on html architecture withlimited interactivity. The client required an extensive gallery of products and services, and a basic contact page. In retrospect I would advise the client to have a Joomla based content management system, but the client's hosting solution did not allow for database hosting.
Website screenshot for Grace Church International, Pietermaritzburg. The client required a community based website with galleries, downloads (for sermons and resources), blog ability, web calendar and potential in the future for business listings. The site is based on Joomla 1.5.x architecture. Screenshot of website for Wilfried and Gineke Wieners. The client required a site which would allow them to post their newsletters and information about their mission field. Based on Joomla 1.0.x architecture. The site can be viewed here. This is a work in progress, hence the lack of content. The client required a gallery for his products and services. It is based on Joomla 1.5.x architecture. An updated image will be posted here once the project is complete. KZN GIS Forum This is a collaborative effort to post an online, closed forum for GIS colleagues from different Govt Depts. to share projects, data and information (expertise). The client required a closed community based site with a forum (restricted to registered users) and fairly complex additional GIS scripting and embedding. There was also a need for a fairly comprehensive download section with strict terms and conditions for downloading. The site is based on Joomla 1.5.x architecture. Core Image Design Prior Websites
Previous Core Image Website, based on Joomla 1.0.x architecture.
